Pope Benedict XVI, Jorge Mario's predecessor, ended the Church’s absolute ban on the use of condoms in 2010. But Catholics, please note that it is only acceptable when the sole intention is to “reduce the risk of infection” from Aids. So no hanky-panky, please!
