Shame on you MSMs for refusing to see the bigger picture!
You should have seized this rare opportunity to celebrate the peaceful assembly of Malaysians from all walks of life, race and religion, including the aged and infirmed, joining hand to hand together to rally for clean and fair elections. Unlike the usual crowd who were given paid leave from work, bused in, fed, clothed and given cash allowance to applaud on cue for certain national leaders, these people rallied on their own free on a hot sunny Saturday because they love their country!
We will not
comment on the cause of the chaos that followed the end of the gathering except
to express our belief that the callous use of razor-sharp barbwire designed to
inflict serious injuries on unarmed citizens certainly served to further
disenfranchise them and made them vulnerable to the evil designs of agents
provocateurs. This unwarranted provocation is no different from that simulation exercise our armed forces were ordered to perform in full public view
showcasing the lethal treatment that would be meted out to those violating the
ban on last year’s Bersih rally.
