Listen to Hang Mokhtar complaining, in a song he wrote to the tune of the theme song of the famous Hongkong TV play "Shanghai Bund", about the uncoordinated roadworks (excavation, digging, paving) by various utilities in Malaysian towns and cities that produce the daily congestion and the huge loss of man-hours and money to the country.

Hang Mokhtar, whose real name is Mohtar Ab. Latiff, is also the guy behind the song “Ayoyo Sami”  lamenting on the heavy burden of highway tolls on present and future generations of ordinary Malaysians.

Born in Alor Gajah, Malacca and now in his sixties, Hang Mokhtar once sang with Orchid Abdullah, Zaiton Sameon  and Aspalela Abdullah.

Hang Mokhtar still writes songs and performs at private functions. His latest album is "Sepekan In Tanjung Pinang”, the title song is sung HERE by Zaleha Hamid.
