Diaper Rash

Yesterday Anonymous asked if Candazole or Candacort can be used to treat diaper rash in a one month old baby.

Candazole contains clotrimazole for the treatment of infections of the skin caused by fungi and yeasts. Canadacort contains additional hydrocortisone, a mild corticosteroid, to relieve the inflammation and itching that may accompany these infections.

Candida is a yeast that lives naturally on the skin. Candida tends to overgrow in damaged skin like that in a nappy rash. An antifungal cream may be used to treat this infection. So, if your baby's rash rash has not cleared by now, we recommend that you visit to your doctor.
